This deep study day is a support for your practice and Iyengar Yoga study to provide direction, reflection, and community for practice, teaching and study. Pranayama class, deeper study asana class, tea-time meeting with philosophy discussion, assignments, collective practice time, sometimes followed by peer teaching (practitioners will participate as students and/or teachers…)
Open to all levels with at least 6 months of Iyengar Yoga class experience (only those with at least 3 years Iyengar Yoga practice will be teaching, but others are welcome to participate as students) I prefer the peer teaching portion to be mainly in-person, but its possible for Iyengar Yoga Teachers (who already teach online) to attend and participate virtually. It’s possible for Iyengar Yoga students to attend virtually as well. We will be building this together.
Timings tentative, … Light refreshments (water/tea/ some fruit/light snacks) will be provided to in person attendees but you may also prefer to bring a snack.
10am -11am Pranayama Class & Yoga Philosophy Discussion (Coffee/Tea/Snack)
11am-1pm Group Practice with Suggested Sequences and Teacher Support
1pm-1:30pm short break for lunch/snack, quiet study time
1:30pm- 3pm Q & A, Practice mentoring discussion with Assignments for further Study: Establishing Firm Foundations; Possible Peer Teaching Activities
3pm- 4pm Restorative Class
